Englisch und so

Did I ever mention that I am NOT fishing for compliments or something when it comes to my foreign language skills?! For some reason, though, people pay me compliments very often when talking to them. "Your English is awesome", "You don't sound German", "You're very articulate", just to mention a few. In fact, people don't think I am German, haha! Hmmh, well, yes, that's definitely flattering :D.

English and French (ok, AND Biology ;)) have always been my best subjects at school. But I graduated seven years ago & I have never been to an English speaking country until I came to Canada. So, I don't know why, but if I ever got talent except from falling (haha, fell down the stairs on the farm - got bruises - and slipped on a wet floor - fell on my knee again - in the hostel's kitchen the other day :P, YES, please make fun of me!), it's probably foreign languages. Because I'm just good at it. And, honestly (I never ever thought I'd say this), I'm even better than most of my fellow travelers from Germany!
